Merida and the Andes
Our three day package into the Andes starts and ends
in Merida, the capital of the region. It takes in the famous Hotel
Los Frailes which is built on the site of a 17th century monastery
in a remote and picturesque setting and the town of Mucuchies.
Further along you visit the Sierra Nevada National Park and the Laguna
Mucubaji, home to an abundance of birdlife.

| Day 1: | Transfer from Merida airport by car high into the snow covered Andes. Enjoy your drive along the mountain roads to Hotel Los Frailes, a former monastery in a truly remote location. |
| Day 2: | Full day excursion in to the heart of the Venezuelan Andes. Drive to the village of Mucuchies then walk to the lagoon Laguna Mucubaji. Afternoon visit to the biological station of Mifafi, home of the Andean condor. Overnight at Hotel Los Frailes. |
| Day 3: | Morning return transfer by car to Merida airport. |
