Caiman, llanos of Venezuela

The Llanos

This trip to the vast plains of the Llanos offer incredible opportunities for wildlife spotting: capybara, caiman, river dolphins, anaconda and many species of birds.

The Llanos lie at the very heart of the country and cover about a third of its terrain, truly Venezuela's "Wild West". The best way to see this region is by staying at a ranch or "hato".

2 nights accommodation:

VEN06      Tour price:   £222
Day 1: Transfer from San Fernando airport through the plains of the Llanos to Hato El Cedral Ranch and Ecological Reserve. All meals and excursions are included. Due to a ban on hunting for many years, wildlife on the Llanos is undaunted by mankind’s presence and can be seen in abundance.
Day 2: Excursion by river boat or safari vehicle with your guide to view the wildlife that inhabits this area, from pink dolphins, caimans and capybaras to scarlet ibis, egrets and macaws. Optional fishing or night-time wildlife spotting trips are also available at Hato El Cedral.
Day 3: Transfer back to San Fernando airport.
