Tour: Introducing Brazil

This luxury two week itinerary provides a superb introduction to Brazil for the first time visitor to this vast and varied country, covering just some of the main attractions. The journey starts with three days in Rio de Janeiro, staying at the superb Copacabana Palace hotel with excursions to the famous statue of Christ on Corcovado Mountain and by cablecar to the top of Sugarloaf Mountain. From here you fly to the magnificent Iguassu Falls, with excursions to both the Brazilian and Argentine sides of the falls. The Iguassu Falls are one of South America's most impressive natural wonders. Our tour includes the dramatic "Devil's Throat" on the Argentine side.

Next fly to Salvador de Bahia, an exciting amalgam of sea, samba and African influences in a Portuguese colonial setting. The Pelourinho historical heart of Salvador has been beautifully restored over the last decade. We include a schooner trip around the pretty bay of Todos os Santos and accommodation in a suite at the beautifully restored Convento do Carmo in the heart of the colonial quarter. The flight from Salvador to Recife takes just 1 hour 15 minutes and on arrival you will be met and driven to the luxurious Nannai Beach resort for 5 days of relaxtion at one of Brazil's best beach retreats. A wonderful way to end your tour of Brazil.
