Tour: Guatemala and Belize Adventure
This is a brilliant tour which combines the attractions of colonial Antigua with the important Mayan site at
Tikal and the rainforest of Cayo District in Belize with time on the coast in the Coral Cayes.
Start with a few days exploring picturesque Antigua before flying to Flores, the nearest airport to Tikal.
No trip to Guatemala is complete without a visit to these fascinating ruins.
We highly recommend a stay at The Lodge at Chaa Creek, 20 thatched cottages within a private reserve of 330
acres, high on the banks of the Macal River in the Cayo district, just south of San Ignacio. The Lodge at
Chaa Creek is set deep in the rainforest with its Natural History Centre a short walk away.
At Ambergris Caye we suggest you stay at Mata Chica, a secluded and exquisite beach resort, a tropical hideaway set on a long
stretch of white sand. Each of its villas have air-conditioning and are charmingly decorated. A perfect end to the
itinerary.

| Days 1-3: | On day one arrive in Guatemala City (your return flight from the UK is included). From here transfer to the old capital of Antigua for three nights at the converted colonial mansion, Panza Verde. A city tour is included. |
| Days 4-5: | Fly to Flores and transfer to the hotel Camino Real for 2 nights. From here take a guided tour of the Tikal ruins. |
| Days 6-8: | Transfer to Cayo district of Belize, 3 nights at the Lodge at Chaa Creek. |
| Days 9-13: | Transfer to Belize City and fly to Ambergris Caye, 5 nights at the Mata Chica. |
| Day 14: | Fly to Belize City in time to connect with your transatlantic flight home. |
