Tour: Patagonia Experience

A two week luxury itinerary which is a great introduction to the highlights of Patagonia, including the Torres del Paine National Park.

The journey starts with a few days in the cosmopolitan city of Buenos Aires staying at the Alvear Palace hotel. From here you fly to the Valdes Peninsula with accommodation at the converted lighthouse, Faro Punta Delgada. This region on Argentina's eastern coast, on the outer edges of Patagonia, is a veritable wildlife haven and one of the best places to see whales (June to November), sea elephants, sea lions, penguins, cormorants, petrels and many other bird species. It is an excellent base for visiting the penguin rookery at Punta Tombo and the sea lions at Punta Delgada.

Next travel to El Calafate and spend three days at the fantastic hotel los Notros, with its views of Perito Moreno glacier and enjoy excursions in the Los Glacieres National Park. From here you will be driven across into Torres del Paine National Park for four nights at the award winning Explora hotel in Patagonia. Torres del Paine is in the heart of Chilean Patagonia. Impressive lakes and waterfalls, glacial peaks of the Southernmost Andes, unique flora and wildlife including guanacos, patagonian foxes, armadillos and even the odd puma are just some of the attractions of the stunning Patagonian wilderness.

The last couple of days are spent in Santiago, with accommodation at the Ritz Carlton hotel.
