The Best of Peru and Bolivia
This itinerary from sea level to some 12000 ft in the Andes has all the elements for a
fantastic overview of these Andean nations. History, culture, traditional markets, rainforest,
mountains and ruins. The journey starts in Lima from where you fly straight into the rainforest
for three days of excursions in the Amazon from a jungle lodge. From here you fly to Cuzco, the
attractive Inca capital, built in the Spanish Colonial style upon Inca foundations.
After a couple
of days acclimatising here you will be taken on a tour to the Sacred Valley of the Incas before travelling
by train to Machu Picchu. A guided tour of the citadel is included before you travel down to the local
village where you stay at the lovely Pueblo Machu Picchu. The following day you may wish to return to
Machu Picchu or you have time to explore the local market before the train leaves to return to Cuzco.
Next day, travel by train up to Lake Titicaca and visit the floating Uros Islands and Taquile. Travel
across Lake Titicaca to the Island of the Sun (Isla del Sol) and from here you travel up to La Paz.
You should be well acclimatised by this stage enabling you to enjoy the fascinating city tour.

| Day 10: | Train to Lake Titicaca. Stay at the hotel Libertador Esteves. |
| Day 11: | Excursion to floating Uros Islands and Taquile. |
| Day 12: | Transfer to Copacabana and on to Isla del Sol. |
| Day 13: | Continue across Lake Titicaca to La Paz, Radisson Plaza. |

| Day 15: | Transfer to the airport to depart La Paz. |
