CO2 Emissions

One of the biggest environmental impacts of a holiday is the flight. Each person travelling to Latin America is responsible for approximately  2.5 tonnes of aviation emissions of carbon dioxide gas. 

To counter global warming you may wish to offset your emissions. There are a number of organisations that will put your funds to effective use for carbon reduction and/or reforestation projects. The reductions in CO2 made by these projects aims to balance flight emissions.

The British Government is working on establishing a voluntary Code of Best Practice for the provision of carbon offsetting to consumers. We are expecting further news on this later in 2008.
