This eight day adventure offers a great overall taste of the country, with easy access to Guyana's rainforest from comfortable nature resorts.
Visit the country's two most famous waterfalls: Kaieteur Falls in its
thundering magnitude and Orinduik Falls which plunge over ledges of
solid jasper, a semi-precious stone, truly one of Guyana's most beautiful
locations.
Stay at the Timberhead Reserve, deep within the rainforest and rich
in bird and wild life, overlooking the Pokerero River. The rest of the
tour is spent at the Shanklands Reort, which is carved from the tropical
rainforest on a majestic cliff overlooking the silver water of Guyana's
largest river, the Essequibo.
This tour is classed as "Soft Adventure" - suitable for all ages with
non-strenuous activities. Included are all meals, (except in Georgetown),
accommodation, internal travel and excursions. We can easily add on
extra days in Guyana or in neighbouring countries.
