The Creole settlement of Placencia and the Garifuna village of Seine Bight are nearby. Excursions include canoeing, diving or snorkelling in the Barrier Reef, visiting Mayan remains and the Monkey Riverboat tour.

Victoria House Resort

This is a superb property on Ambergris Caye, just south of San Pedro. There are a variety of rooms according to taste. Facilities include an on site dive shop and diving instruction for beginners as well as trips for the more experienced. Highly recommended.
