On the Galapagos Islands you can see wildlife year round, so unless you have something particular you want to see (the Waved Albatross, for instance, is absent from January to March), you can travel anytime. However, the most popular period is January to March as the weather is at its warmest and it's the best time for diving and snorkelling. Equally September and early October tend to be avoided due to the "garua", the wet season when a sea mist can settle over the islands.
The following information gives you an idea of weather conditions and the different wildlife that you are likely to see.
If you are planning a trip to the Galapagos Islands we recommend booking as early as possible for the greatest choice of boats. Whilst we have some bookings for 18 months ahead we appreciate that not everybody can commit themselves so long in advance. If you are booking late (ie. within 4 months) the choice of boats becomes more restricted but please contact us as will do our upmost to arrange something.
