Tour: Chile and the Falkland Islands

This tour starts and ends in Santiago and combines Torres del Paine with a week of wildlife spotting in the Falkland Islands.

Santiago de Chile is a bustling modern city with the dramatic backdrop of the Andes. An excursion to the Concha y Toro Vineyard is included. We then fly down to Punta Arenas where you will be met and driven to your hotel in Torres del Paine. The hotel offers a range of excursions in the National Park.

From Torres del Paine, we return to Punta Arenas and overnight here before flying to Mount Pleasant on the Falkland Islands. On arrival you transfer to a small 8 seater aircraft for the journey to Pebble Island. A full day 4 x 4 guided tour is included here together with full board at Pebble Hotel. From Pebble Island we will fly you to Saunders Island and transfer on arrival to the sandy isthmus known as the Neck, home to the black-browed albatross. Pre-catered meals are included at The Neck.

Your next stop is Sea Lion Island, the most southerly inhabited and one of the smallest of the Falklands archipelago. We include an introductory orientation tour on arrival and will provide you with maps and guidelines to enable you to visit the main places of interest in your own time (all within easy walking distance of the lodge). All meals are included at Sea Lion Lodge.

Finally we fly you to Stanley where we include a city tour, the museum and Gypsey Cove. Accommodation is at the Malvina House hotel including full board. From Stanley we will transfer by road to Mount Pleasant airport in time for your flight back to Santiago where you will be transfered to your hotel.
