Varadero, two hours by road from Havana, has 20 kms
of some of the best beaches in the Caribbean.
People come here for the beach and excellent watersports, conveniently
close to Havana, though it is Cuba's chief resort and consequently
more developed than other coasts. However, it is easy to get to from the capital which makes it a very good
beach option as travelling around the island can be time consuming.
Most of the hotels here have gone over to the "all-inclusive"
concept.
