Trinidad, Cuba, an UNESCO world heritage site

Trinidad

Trinidad is known as the museum city of the Caribbean and is probably the best preserved colonial city of Cuba. It is an historic city and a UNESCO world heritage site, formerly one of the major centres of sugar production with around 48 plantations still visible in the surrounding countryside. Sites include the Farmer's House, Musuems, Casa Trova, Santa Ana Church and the Palace of Sanchez Iznaga.

15 minutes drive from Trinidad is Playa Ancon, a beautiful Caribbean beach, enabling you to enjoy both beach and culture in one location. A visit to the Topes de Collantes National Park offers pleasant walking trails.
