Cuba tailor-made holidays to Cienfuegos

Cienfuegos

Cienfuegos was founded by the French colonists from Bordeaux and still exudes a distinctly Gallic influence in its buildings. The city has a number of interesting sites including the Jagua castle and old cemetery in addition to providing an attractive and relaxed atmosphere. The 36km reef off the nearby coast has a number of tunnels and caves as well as sunken ships, providing an excellent habitat for marine life. Cienfuegos was known as the "Pearl of the South" in colonial times, due to the beauty of its town and bay.
