Torres del Paine National Park

The Chilean Fjords

This part of the country is exceptionally beautiful with lakes, snow-capped volcanoes, dense forests and thermal springs. The most exciting way to explore the fjords South of Puerto Montt is by cruise ship.

Skorpios II and III:

Skorpios cruises offer a comfortable way to enjoy the region's beautiful scenery. Costs vary according to the season, boat, deck and cabin type and Skorpios III is the more comfortable of the two.

Skorpios II goes by way of the Northern Ice Fields between September and May, starting and finishing in Puerto Montt. Passengers navigate 800 miles through the channels and archipelagos of Llanquihue, Chiloe, Chonos and Aysen, visit the villages of Puerto Aguire and Queilen as well as the mythical city of Castro en Chiloe, until arriving at the San Rafael Glacier and the thermal springs in Quitralco.

The Skorpios III

Skorpios III visits the glaciers of the Southern Ice Fields, known as the "Kaweskar Explorers' Route", starting and ending in Puerto Natales. Navigate 600 miles towards the Glacier of the Southern Ice Field, furrowing the twisting channels and fjords of the Magallanes region, visiting the Pio XI, Amalia and Calvo Glaciers. It also visits Puerto Eden, cradle of the ancient indigenous people, the Kaweskar, who navigate through these latitudes in fragile canoes.
