Tortugero National Park

Great opportunities to spot wildlife in these varied habitats which include tropical rainforest, mangroves, wetlands and traditional coastal environments. The best way to spot the alligators, iguanas, howler monkeys, boa constrictors and the myriad of bird life is to quietly explore the waterways and canals by small boat.

From July to October you might see the giant green turtles come ashore at night to lay their eggs.
