Costa Rica Country Information

flag of Costa Rica This small, beautiful country located on the narrow isthmus between the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean is renowned for the greatest bio-diversity in Latin America and has an enlightened approach towards conservation.

Climate
Whilst temperatures are fairly even throughout the year   the dry season runs from December to April.  Turtles come to lay eggs in Tortuguero from July to early October.

Inoculations
Typhoid,Hepatitis A, Malaria, Yellow fever, Tetanus and Polio are all strongly recommended but not compulsory - please check  with your GP. The following website has some useful information:

Documentation
British citizens do not require visas for Costa Rica but a full 10 year passport with at least 6 months to run is needed. Nationals of other countries should contact the consulate: 020 7706 8844. If you are passing through the USA you need to satisfy US immigration requirements.
