La Serena
La Serena is a pretty colonial town near the coast, a few hours from Santiago. From here you can reach the Elqui Valley, famous for producing "pisco", (the traditional drink of choice in the Andes), and for being one of the world's major astronomical centres due to its clear skies. It's also a good place to relax and sit on the beach.

| Day 1: | Transfer from airport to hotel. Afternoon tour of La Serena and nearby Coquimbo port. Overnight at Hotel Francisco de Aquirre (mid range). |
| Day 2: | Tour to Elqui Valley, includes lunch. This fertile strip of land winds up into Andes and is famous for its clear skies (a number of observatories are located in the area) and the production of the famous Pisco. Return to hotel. |
| Day 3: | Free day in La Serena. Overnight accommodation at your hotel. |
| Day 4: | Transfer to airport. |
