Inoculations
Typhoid, Tetanus, Hepatitis, Malaria, Yellow fever and Polio are all strongly recommended but are not compulsory unless you are planning to travel on to Brazil. The following website has some useful information:

The Lan Chile airpass is extremely good value for flights within mainland Chile, valid for 30 days. You get a discount if your transatlantic flights are with Lan Chile.

Documentation
British citizens do not require visas for Chile but a full 10 year passport with at least 6 months to run is needed. Nationals of other countries should contact the consulate: 020 7580 1023
