South American Experience Ltd has been granted an Air Travel Organiser's licence by the Civil Aviation Authority. Our ATOL number is ATOL3071. All our tailor-made itineraries which involve flights and ground arrangements are ATOL Protected. This means that in the unlikely event of our insolvency, the CAA will ensure that you are not stranded abroad or will arrange to refund any money you have paid to us for advance bookings.

 

Most flight-only bookings made with us are also ATOL Protected. You should note that when tickets are issued and despatched to you within 24 hours of payment being accepted they are exempt - it is deemed that your tickets are provided in exchange for payment. Tickets where payment is made direct to airlines are also exempt.

South American Experience also issues an insurance policy with tickets in case airlines go into liquidation. This is called Failure of Scheduled Airlines Insurance.

ATOL Protection extends primarily to customers who book and pay in the United Kingdom.
