Tipiliuke Lodge

A stay at an Argentinian estancia (ranch) offers a unique way of experiencing rural life and getting away from it all. Cerro de los Pinos, a 50,000 acre working estancia, is a short drive from San Martin de los Andes airport, in northern Patagonia. Tipiliuke Lodge is it's farm house, a warm and comfortable stone house with six bedrooms with private bathroom, a cozy living room, dining room, and bar. Lunch is a grand event at Tipiliuke, done in the typical Argentine fashion and often served outside.

It is the perfect base from which to appreciate this beautiful region. Included are visits to the spectacular Lanín volcano or trekking in the Nahuel Huapi National Park. Horse riding is a popular pass time with visitors or go mountain bike riding.

Swim or go fly-fishing in the clear waters of the River Chimehuin, which has long been a favorite fishing river for generations of Argentine anglers. It is home to both rainbow and brown trout with large browns caught every year. (Please note there is an extra charge for fishing. Experienced fishing guides are available to pre-book). For an extra charge golf is on offer as is skiing between July and September in Chapelco - a one hour drive from the Lodge.
