Patagonian Trail
This is the ultimate 12 day Patagonian Trail. Five star estancias will comfortably accommodate you while you explore the magnificent landscape and scenery that characterises this part of Argentinian Patagonia.
This tour includes 3 nights at the Alta Vista Estancia in El Calafate with excursions to Upsala, Oneli and Perito Moreno, a night at the superb Tunquelen overlooking Llao Llao bay near Bariloche, 2 nights at Victoria Island National Lodge on Lake Nahuel Huapi and 3 nights at the Estancia Rio Quillen in the Lanin National Park, 135km from San Martin de los Andes.
Excursions, transfers and tours are all included with English-speaking guide. With a night at the beginning and at the end included at Claridges in Buenos Aires you have the makings of a superb holiday in a beautiful region.

| Day 1: | Buenos Aires Arrival and reception at Buenos Aires, transfer to hotel. Afternoon city tour. |
| Day 2: | El Calafate Flight to El Calafate, situated on the shores of Lago Argentino, and transfer to Hosteria Alta Vista. Afternoon horseback ride with a local "baqueano" guide. Great bird watching en route and an enormous variety of flowers to enjoy. |
| Day 3: | El Calafate / Los Glacieres National Park Travel to Los Glacieres National Park, an UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1981, and a land of pristine glaciers descending into turquoise lakes and colossal snow-covered mountain ranges. The landscape here is stunning and within the park is the famous Perito Moreno Glacier, an imposing ice river, 30 km in length. Return to El Calafate late afternoon. |
| Day 4: | El Calafate / Los Glacieres National Park Depart for Puerto Bandera to board the Catamaran taking you to the "Devil's Mouth". Navigate icebergs up to the western front of the Upsala Glacier. Continue by boat to Estancia Cristina then transfer to 4WD vehicles to reach the only land access to the Upsala Glacier. Overnight at Hosteria Alta Vista, Calafate. |
| Day 5: | The Lake District Flight from El Calafate to Bariloche. After a brief tour of Bariloche, transfer to Hotel Tunquelen in Llao Llao Bay, which enjoys views over Huapi Lake. Enjoy walks in this beautiful area or simply relax in the comfortable hotel. |
| Day 6: | Victoria Island / Nahuel Huapi National Park Depart by boat to Victoria Island Lodge, located on Nahuel Huapi Lake, within the National Park of the same name. The Victoria island is a natural wildlife reserve where you can spot a great variety of birds and deer. In the afternoon go horse-riding to explore the northern part of the island. Overnight at the Victoria Island Lodge. |
| Day 7: | Victoria Island / Nahuel Huapi National Park Explore the 100 acres of Anchorena Bay, its inlet and inner harbours, on kayaks and small boats. The lodge's boats are also available for fishing trips. After lunch you can spend the afternoon exploring the island on mountain bike. Overnight at the Victoria Island Lodge. |
| Day 8: | Lanin National Park Transfer out from the island, navigating towards Villa La Angostura. Enjoy a day trip on the Seventh-Lake Route, one of the most beautiful and scenic journeys around the country, it is the road that joins Villa La Angostura with San Martin de Los Andes. Stop and have lunch at San Martin de los Andes, then follow on to Estancia Rio Quillen in the Lanin National Park. The Estancia Rio Quillen commands fantastic views, built on a hillside overlooking the valley and the River Quillen, it offers spectacular horse riding in the Lanin National Park and has a priviliged location in one of the world`s most unspoilt and beautiful places. |
| Day 9: | Lanin National Park Depart for a full day trip to Lake Quillen on horseback. Enjoy dazzling views of the lake and majestic Lanin Volcano in the background. Lunch is served on the shores of the lake, with the afternoon on the beach. Overnight at Estancia Rio Quillen. |
| Day 10: | Lake Quillen / Lanin National Park Navigate the River Quillen, one of the best places for dry fly fishing in Patagonia. Home to brown trout and rainbow trout, its crystal clear waters are for the use of estancia guests only, and there is a catch and release policy in place. Overnight at Estancia Rio Quillen. |
| Day 11: | Buenos Aires Transfer to San Martin de los Andes airport for your flight back to Buenos Aires. Arrival transfer to the hotel. Afternoon at leisure in Buenos Aires. |
| Day 12: | Optional transfer to Buenos Aires airport for your onward travel. Tour ends here. |
