This 5 day tour takes you to the most important wine producing area of Argentina to visit its wineries and see the wine production techniques. At the same time you can practice your wine tasting skills in the cellars. The journey starts in Mendoza and travels down to the Uco Valley, a highly fertile area in the footsteps of the Andes at just the right altitude for vines to thrive. Grape varieties include Chardonnay, Merlot, Malbec and Semillon. Two nights accommodation at the Posada Salentein in Tupungato, dinner and wine-tasting included with excursions to Bodega Lurton and Bodega Fapes, one of the oldest cellars in the area. We then travel via Bodegas Norton (founded in 1895 by an English engineer) and Lagarde on the way to Mendoza. Two nights accommodation at the Hyatt in Mendoza with dinner included, a city tour and further excursions to Bodega La Rural and Bodega Lopez.
Please contact our office for a detailed day by day itinerary.
