Bariloche
San Carlos de Bariloche has an almost Alpine flavour, nestling deep in the
Andes. Its mountains, cool lakes and pine forests offer fantastic scenery and the town has attractive Swiss chalet style
stone and wooden buildings. Take boat trips across the lakes or walk trails
through the pine forest and you can even ski from July to September. Bariloche also has some famous chocolate shops, well
worth visiting!
We recommend staying at the Hotel Llao Llao on the edge of Lake Nahuel Huapi. The Llao Llao has to be one of our favourite
hotels in Latin America; it is deservedly famous for its stunning location and offers complete luxury and excellent facilities.
However, you are spoiled for choice in this region, as there are many fine hotels.
