Lyubov Orlova makes exploring the Antarctic Peninsula a comfortable and relaxed experience. She is an elegant 295 foot cruise ship built in 1976 and most recently refurbished in 2006 when extensive renovations were carried out. Maximum capacity is 110 passengers in 59 outside cabins and 2 suites, all with either a porthole or window. Standard cabins are basic but comfortable and all cabins have en-suite bathrooms.
The ship has an ice-strengthened hull and passive stabalisers, a window-lined dining room, lounge and bar, forward lounge for lectures, library, small gym and clinic. When you want to take in the scenery or watch for wildlife, the spacious decks provide the perfect platform for birding, whale-watching and photography. The international expedition staff are assisted by an experienced Russian captain and crew and European chefs.

Clipper Adventure

Clipper Adventure is the sister-ship of Lyubov Orlova. Built in 1975, she underwent a $10 million conversion in 1998. She has a proud reputation as a well-appointed, elegant expedition ship for softer adventures. The ship is equipped with Zodiacs for shore landings and ocean level cruising, yet offers fine dining, and the 61 outside cabins have exterior views with en suite facilities. The vessel is equipped with state-of-the-art satellite navigation and communication equipment including telephone, fax and e-mail. The Clipper adventure has a window-lined dining room, lounge, presentation room, 2 bars, gift shop, massage therapist, clinic with licensed doctor, library and an exercise room. There is a maximum of 122 passengers and 72 staff and crew on board.
