Classic Antarctic Peninsula - 10 day cruise
This cruise aboard the M/S Explorer is run by GAP Adventures and takes you to the Antarctic Peninsula and
the South Shetland Islands. This cruise is ideal for those travelling alone or within a group as there
are no single supplements aboard this vessel (although you may be required to share a cabin with
another passenger).
The Explorer is a recently re-introduced vessel, the first of its kind designed and built specifically for polar
destinations and the first passenger ship to travel to Antarctica. At only 75 metres in length and equipped with
an ice hardened double hull and a fleet of robust zodiacs, she is a go anywhere ship for the adventurous
traveller. The relatively small size of the Explorer, with a maximum passenger capacity of 108, ensures that everyone
gets to participate in every landing. With a veteran crew of polar mariners and an experienced expedition team of marine and avian
biologists, geologists, historians and naturalists, the adventures on board Explorer are voyages of discovery to
the far reaches of the planet.
Highlights: Antarctic Peninsula and South Shetland Islands.
